Founded in 1959, Rountree Tryon Galleries specialise in maritime, wildlife, sporting, and topographical art from the eighteenth century to the present day. These areas were at the core of English taste up until the world wars and continue to fascinate collectors around the world.

The gallery not only supplies traditional paintings of quality by noted artists in these fields but also breathes new life into these genres with vivid new works by talented contemporary artists.

Through carefully sourcing the very best examples and representing leading artists for six decades, Rountree Tryon is established as a global specialist in these areas with a reputation for quality, expertise, and professional service.

Rountree Tryon Galleries were formed by a merger between the Tryon Gallery and Rountree Fine Art in 2013. The gallery is currently owned and run by Jamie Rountree who founded Rountree Fine Art in 2009 after a ten-year career at the auction houses Christie’s and Bonhams. With their common interests and shared vision, the collaboration between these two galleries has cemented the position of Rountree Tryon Galleries as market leaders.

Rountree Tryon has two gallery spaces, one in the heart of the historical district of St James’s in London, and the second in the market square of the picturesque town of Petworth, West Sussex.
